When you set it up for the live coverage, would you set it to record by time or by show? In other words, will it keep recording if the coverage goes over time if it’s set up to record the show?

Also, how many hours do you get out of a 40 hour unit at the best quality setting?

Set it for longer than the scheduled programming, esp. in the mountain stages, as they will inevitably run over and you'll miss the good part...so, if you can I would set it by time. If it's only recording by show it'll stop when the show was scheduled to be over. You can also just record the re-air of the live coverage, which they'll probably have started further in so that the end fits into the scheduled time. At least that's how it worked last year.

I imagine you get 40 hours with the 40 hour unit. I get 60 with my 60 hour unit...
