Bikes: Waterford 953 RS-22, several Paramounts

It's not unusual to find 80s steel-frame bikes with higher end double-butted Reynolds or Columbus tube sets and Shimano or Campy components for $200 - $500. Mid-level Schwinns and Japanese brands like Miyata are good candidates, and for a touring bike you should look for a frame with longer wheel base and trail like the Schwinn Voyageur or Passage.

Weights will typically run around 25 pounds or so.
