Ohio City Bike Co-op

I went to the Ohio City Co-op today to find info on volunteering. Seems like a good organization, they offer bike maintenance courses, bike and parts buying, but the part I am interested in is the "Earn a bike" program. Basically it is for poorer kids to learn how to maintain a bike and if they work for something like 10 hours on their bike, then the bike is theirs to keep.

Since I am in the market for an older steel bike, I thought I would check the place out. I did find some nice bikes and frames, a Bridgestone frame, some complete and semi-complete Schwinns but unfortunately, none in my size.

I think I will become a member and a volunteer. Mostly to help kids get bikes, but as a side benefit, I might just find a great frame for myself.
