From: An Island on the Coast of GA!

Bikes: Snazzy* Schwinns, Classy Cannondales & a Super Pro Aero Lotus (* Ed.)

The FMF adapter I used on my Continental installed with the three allen head screws on the left, non drive side. I recently picked up a used, non-FMF adapter (with no instructions), and installed it the same way. But after installing the cartridge BB this past weekend, I believe this adapter should be flipped with the allen heads on the drive side. The BB threaded in--- in the opposite direction from the rotation of the cranks. So would pedal action slowly losen the BB? Another difference is that the used one is narrower than the FMF, so the lip of the Shimano UN54 BB does not thread up tight to the side of the adapter. I'll figure this all out eventually!

Best of luck on yours Stringbreaker. What type of crankset do you plan to use?
