^ You can say that, but some helmet do protect "better" than others. They just all meet the MINIMUM requirements. For example, the Bell Razor was a hot item in racing in the 90's, but it was very thin. I wanted one badly because everyone else had one (or at least that's what I said), but my parents required something with a little more substance. People who crashed with the Razor did get scrapes and road rash around their eyes and nose more often. But you're right that they all protect the brain about the same.
Yes, I guess I should have said that all helmets meet certain minimum safety requrements. I guess one could argue that a more bulky helmet with more foam and fewer vents could possibly provide more protection than a sleeker one with less foam and more vents.
