this looks like a great place to ask my first question -

I just moved to the Huntington Metro area. I'm trying to nail down the best route to take in getting to work via two wheels. I'm working over at the Eisenhower Ave stop. I thought about trying to squeeze through with all the cars on the telegraph road - but that could be very dangerous!

If you guys are in the area or know some possible routes let me know.

Also - I don't have a bike yet and could use some newbie mentoring on what to look for, where to buy, etc, etc. I've also been researching panniers for garments as I would need to travel with a suit and toiletries.

and PS - Its crazy with the amount of bike rides we have in the DC area there isnt a mid atl regional thread. Its WAYYYY to eaaaaasy to ad as well. I run a few forums and if you guys want we can put together our own DC area forum
