It wasn't the big thick kryptonite chain (fugetaboutit?), it was the slightly smaller one with the circular lock. One link was on the ground. It looks like they used big bolt cutters or something. Strangely they took the chain with them. I will definitely be getting a bigger lock.

I'll check pawnshops. Where else do stolen bikes go?
