We didn't ride that exact route, instead starting in Welch, I'm guessing about 19 miles round trip. Except for a few open stretches less than 1/2 mile long, it's pretty much a green tunnel from end to end. There's a commercial campground near the trail, as well as innertubing/canoeing/kayaking in Welch.
