In the winter I regularly wear UA tights over my shorts when I mountain bike. I tried for a bit with just the UA's but it wasn't comfortable and that was on a mountain bike where you're regularly out of the saddle. I couldn't imagine grinding along in the saddle on a long ride wearing those.
