Mid 50sF, overcast, tailwind. Pretty quick today. Squirrels are back! It's time to stock up on acorns for the winter, I guess. A flock of geese flew over me, heading easterly. As luck would have it, I came to a stop sign on the MUP at the same time as an older woman I've seen walking just about every summer day since I started commuting in '04. We always waved hi back and forth but today we chatted. She goes south for the winter, which explains why she disappears for months on end. She walks a LONG way, too. I've seen her anywhere along a 4-mile stretch of the MUP.
