We ALWAYS point out stuff to each other. First, I ride with my friends, so I feel an obligation to keep them safe. The second thing is the guy out front is obligated to look way ahead, focus and point stuff out BEFORE we get there (not at the last second). If I am drafting close, I will follow his line. This works well for us. Also, I have to trust the guy I am drafting.

Now if a guy is new and I don’t trust him, then I stay far enough behind so I have time to react.
