I've never had a 32 inch waistline in my entire adult life. 34 inch is more normal for my size. If you want to be an ectomorph biker then fine. But I prefer to be a mesomorph and so does my GF. 34 inch is just fine.

Anyway... the point was: eBikes do help you get exercise and lose weight (and belly fat). Contrary to the stupid myths out there that think that ebikes are for lazy fat people.

Sure a regular bike will make you work more. No denying that! But I will deny any ridiculous purist who thinks eBikes don't help one's health.
