That bike weights just above 16 lbs which is lighter than the Presto Lite! I still think a better option than making a lighter bike is to make one that rolls (while folded) like the Strida. A very light bike is nice but you really can't carry the bike everywhere while shopping. A 16 lb bike will get very heavy after carrying it 200 feet so it has limited use. Shopping in a mall or any activity that would require carrying the bike over an extended distance would make it excessive.
