I had surgery on a Medial Meniscus tear playing football. They tacked it back into place. I was working out five days later with my stitches in (light weight lifting). You'll be fine. Take it easy for the first two-three days on crutches. Then start walking with crutches as you feel comfortable (usually 4 days). By the time you go back for the stitches to be pulled you'll be walking fine. You'll probably feel slight twinges of pain every now and then. Almost like you can "feel" the tacks. Also you might have pain during high humidity from pressure changes. Nothing that'll cripple you or keep you from doing anything.

P.S. Some of that stuff should be doctor's orders. If they tell you different listen. I don't want to be responsible for something worsening.
