I ask because a couple of times now I have been riding along and one of these E-bikes comes right up behind me to pass and it kinda spooked me the first time because they are super-quiet and I just noticed it out of the corner of my eye and then, boom!, he was in front of me. I think these things are going to be a problem for cyclists. The people who use them may not understand how fast they can be and the government doesn't regulate them, so we might have some real idiots behind the wheels who may not be held accountable for their actions.
