I sold the Fuji Team Super-Lite on ebay today so that leaves me an official "purely single-speed" guy I guess. Pictures are of my venerable Cinelli Columbus SL frameset (complete with Italian bodywork problems) converted into a pretty usable fixie. Originally I converted a set of Shimano wheels but since I wanted to try the full fixed these are from Bike Island. Other than that & the bars everything else dates back to my road racing days of the late 80's (tell us Grandpa!). Front brake remains as one of my favorite routes has a vicious dip to a major intersection & I ain't got balls enough yet.
I live in Dallas, TX and so far am the only single speed I've seen. Lots of high end fiber & titanium rolling around these parts though.
Enjoying the forum, having a blast on the bike & thinking I might spring for the Mercier 'cos at $350 what's not to like?
