I'm amazed at the groupthink on this site. You all seemed to ignore some very key parts of my original post
1) I didn't steal the kid's wheel.
I didn't want the kid's **** to get jacked up; wasn't going to keep the wheel, and had planned to leave my number so he could get it back. In any case, I didn't do any of these as I decided all in all it was a bad idea and not really my job to teach the kid a lesson.
2) I left him a note about how to lock up your bike.
When you have an expensive wheel such as the Mavic, leaving it unlocked in a city is just a bad idea, I'm sure he'd be really pissed if someone stole it (again, one of the reasons I didn't).
3)
I DIDN'T STEAL IT.I didn't steal the kids stuff, you all seem to be on my dick about it, but none of you really seem to consider the fact that I didn't do it. I thought about it, and with good intentions. No malice was in my mind at any time. Crime of compassion?
All in all, get off of my ****. I didn't do it, wouldn't do it. Next time you all get on someone's ass about something he/she didn't do, consider their intentions and the outcome before you all neglect to think and just jump on the bandwagon.
