Glad to hear this. I was wondering about Sunset Beach, because I'm thinking about riding down to Santa Cruz the day before the next NorCal group ride on the 23rd, camping overnight, then meeting up with the group Sunday morning for the ride back up Highway One.

Are there stores close to the Sunset Beach campgrounds where you can buy food/water? And how many hiker/bikers were there when you went? The park's website says there are only eight hiker/biker spots there.


BlastRadius: What size chainrings on your crankset? I switched from a 52/42/30 to a 48/36/26, as even the relatively minor extra weight of light-touring seems to have a big impact on my knees.
