That totally looked like that greasy clay mud.... the kind where nothing has any grip, and if by change the knobbies were far enough apart to grip, they are filled with gumbo within a revolution of two. I grew up off roading (4x4) with my Dad and have to say tire choice in the mud is a trick/luck/art proposition at best. One needs to be intimate with the local dirt to make an informed choice. Do they have MTB/cross tires that use centrifugal force to clear the tread like 4x4 Monster Mudders?
