My fuji has the shimano 600 ultegra shifters, the rear shifter works fine but the front shifter shifts the FD, but as soon as I release the trigger it goes back on the small chainring. Does this sound like the FD or a shifter problem? I tried different adjustments on the cable and FD with no change.
