I was held up at a lesson for longer than I anticipated, and I had a doctor appointment today.... So I blasted up from the very foot of Bathurst St. to Glencairn: around 7 miles uphill and into the wind as fast as I could (well, at intervals anyway). Made it on time.

Played leapfrog with a bus, eventually outrunning it and keeping not too far ahead of it using it as a shield: since drivers in the curb lane change lanes to pass the bus, and then they see you ahead and usually defer going back into the curb lane until they pass you. Just don't let the bus get too close to you, otherwise the driver is tempted to overtake you too... usually JUST before stopping at a bus stop...
