3) Anyone read anything recently on the quest to organise an Australian pro cycling team? I heard Pat Jonkers was keen, but was having trouble drumming up corporate support or some such. After Euskatel Euskadi's performance yesterday, I'm sure we could atleast outdo the Spaniards!

Oi, Oi, Oi !... (wonder what these yanks will make of that!). Wouldn't it be great if all the Aussie pro's came out of contract at the same time. They are mostly good mates & would probably love to ride together, all things being equal. The age old problem would be sponsorship. it would have to be some company with an international focus. Really we've probably only got Qantas or Fosters who might be interested. I reckon the boys would blow the 'posties' off the map!. The 'end of season trip' would be a pearler too, if Fosters was the sponsor!
