Yes. You have to realize that no matterr how good your skills are, thing outside your control can happen (front flat, car or motorcycle, coming into your lane, etc)

At 50+mph, if things go bad, its going to hurt. You have to ask yourself what level of risk you're willing to accept, and balance the risk/reward.
