Nothing is more hard core than showing up at a ****** filled gym with a daisy chain of webbing and proceeding to make your own harness, then chimbing something overhanging and NOT falling out of it.
Also a damn good skill to know for that one time you show up at the crags without a harness, been there, done that.

first of all i never slammed lycra. i said i didn't wear it but would consider it.
second, wearing a harness while climbing will save my life, wearing lycra while riding won't.
last, i don't care about being hard core. i just want to have fun.
anyway, so you're saying you don't own a harness? and you always tie your own harness out of webbing? so what is it that you forgot when you showed up at that crag?
