I got a 2nd opinion on mine. I got an x-ray. About 3 minutes later, he put it on a screen and the doctor just went...yep...surgical. He spent more time talking about bike riding than talking about my injury. Nice when the doctors are bike riders. My allergist is a MTB rider. My GP is a road rider. The guy that cut me is neither but the 2nd opinion doctor was a MTB rider.
The next day was the surgery. I am so glad I had it done. I'd still be in a cast. Saw a guy on crutches with a similar injury in a cast yesterday and it made me feel so much better.

Yes, probably could've been, but he recommended against surgery and, never having experienced this before, I deferred to his opinion. Boy, will I be p'd if I end up having to have surgery anyway!
Does feel better though, and my range of motion is pretty good.
May take a chance this weekend and put a bike up on the trainer to see how it feels.
