I currently use a Grundig S-350. It sells for $99.95 at Radio Shack.

I also have a Drake SW-8, which went out of production because the demand was too high, and the small factory in Ohio could not keep up with demand. The SW-8 is great because it has Single Sideband and AM Synchronous Detector circuitry.
The SW-8 was like $800.00. But I can only use it on batteries, because the AC adapter went bad.
