Until your slimeless tubes come in, store the bike with with the stems at the top. This causes the slime to ooze away from the valve instead of into it.

As someone who used to work for a bike shop, I can say that slime was a PIA. People still came in with flats, the stuff was heavy, and it got all over everything.
