I read your previous thread and assume this is the new freehub that failed this time, only after nine months of use? I have a Bontrager wheelset and freehub. A 7/16 hex bit socket measures 11.11 mm and can be used to remove the freehub. Also, when I bought a new Bontrager freehub from the LBS, Bontrager also provideed a 8mm to 11mm hex adapter. LBS wrench said the freehub is made by DT/Swiss.

Wow, I'm not sure what to do about a failed freehub on a ride. It takes quite a few tools to remove the freehub -

To remove the lockring: cassette lockring remover + 1" socket + socket wrench + chainwhip
To remove axle: cone wrenches + method to press out/in bearings
To remove freehub: 11mm socket (7/16 socket)

And once you have the freehub removed, you'd have to disassemble it. I've never taken a freehub apart, but most say don't do it even under ideal laboratory conditions.

Freehub maintenance seems inconsistent. There is a freehub grease injector available, but many say grease (especially in cold weather) will prevent the pawls from engaging. Some say use a light machine oil (like sewing machine oil). I've used Phil Woods Tenacious Oil (thick like maple syrup) with good success. For the most part, disassembly of a freehub is highly discouraged.
