Carhartt hooded sweatshirts are the yardstick by which all other hoodies are measured. Dickies doesn't even come close, quality-wise. I wore a Carhartt for 3 seasons while framing houses on the plains around the Wyoming/Colorado border, and the thing looked hardly used. That's a bitterly cold region, and the sweatshirt took abuse all day long. The zipper failed in the 4th year, but the fabric is in great condition.
They're absolutely worth the money.
