For us (CO) veloswap in October can be pretty good but it doesn't work with your timeline. If you REALLY don't have the funds until spring then you must wait or finance. If you buy from a national shop they often finance at 0% for one year. Personally (and having used the Performance option in the past) I'd wait until I had proper funds and then I would visit my LBS that has EXCELLENT fit fitting and continued service. Personally it is worth the extra couple hundred (maybe) considering a $2000 purchase where fit is crucial. Heck, for the same price point my buddy bought an awesome Orbea at a Boulder LBS that rivaled if not beat anything offered at all the other stores. He bought it just before summer...
