I picked up two sets from my lbs for $10 each. My folder had a stupid grip shifter on it that I tossed and I liked the thumb shifters on my roadie with trekking bars so I could shift from any hand position without moving my hands. Both friction, partly because I hated the click and then waiting for something to happen and maybe I was too lazy to continuously adjust the cables.
