I'm on the second long Nashbar/KMC-Z 8-spd chain on my recumbent - I put 3500mi. on the first. Was never able to disconnect the master link by hand. (I have no problem with SRAM links.) So, I invested in a Park master link tool. No problem now. (They had tandem-length chains for $15 recently!)
