Try to make this short. In May I contacted the Yavapi County AZ supervisors about all the gravel and glass and trash in the bike lane running from 89A on Lower Red Rock Loop Road. I was very please with the response that the lane will be swept.

Jump forward to September and to my surprise the county's answer to this issue was to eleminate the bike lane! In fact they just put more loose gravel where the bike lane once was and now you have no choice but to ride on the road. This is progress? Glad I added a 1/2 mile visibility blinky to my road bike.
