you don't want to do proprietary **** unless a lot lot lot of people are using your ****. and even then, it's risky (how'd DA ten pitch do, by the way...?).
135 is the Campy road standard..hardly proprietary. I know it really opened up the option of using C-Record to new Record cranks for my fixed gears. It's far less expensive than going for a true track crank.
