The Miche chainrings are a nearly equal product to Campy, and I don't think either company is going under any time soon, so why the complaints?
i wasn't complaining. my point was that miche makes something that nobody else does, and that i think it's a smart move for them to switch to 144.
i rode miche cranks for a quite a while, and did indeed on a few occasions switch between 1/8 and 3/32. i don't have a problem with it.
but i still think that going for compatibility is a far better business model than uniqueness - which may be a better word than proprietary. but the point remains the same.
