I find this thread for some reason amusing. Will, my conservative side says you should get thee to a doctor who will give you a prescription for a bee sting allergy kit, which will contain something for anaphylactic shock, which can easily kill you. ( the allergic reaction, not the kit). OTH, I avoid Doctors pretty much as you do, and I would probably do exactly the same as you are doing. I will add that the same reaction to bee stings happened to my Dad later in his life, and having the kit in the house was no big deal. Good luck in finding a Dr who will only want to deal with the presented issue. Dr's pretty much want to do a full exam when you go in as a new patient, so as to protect themselves from lawsuits.
