If your hubs are nice then I would suggest converting your freehub to SS using spacers. That would ensure a proper chainline regarding of using a big or middle chainring. This must be used in conjunction with an eccentric bottom bracket.

I considered converting my CAAD8 cannondale to SS but in the end it was more cost effective to buy a new bike altogether.
