If it is in fact bent, then you can straighten it. It's not structural, or at least not supporting your weight. But I have found that re-straightened aluminum deraileur hangers tend to re-bend quite easily. They are purposefully made from soft aluminum which bends before the other stuff on your frame and the parts around it, and the re-bending only seems to make it weaker still.

So it may work for a while, but you'll want to get another one anyway.
