for the record, I used to have more shoes than my wife........not only because of all the different sports activities requiring special shoes, but because I love shoes too!

I musta rubbed off on her tho cause now she's out-shod me. Plus I got rid of a lot of stuff.

but whether shoes or bikes or whatever (I know lots of women with handbag fetishes......certainly a cyclist of either gender can go overboard with the messenger bag thing) this buying/hoarding compulsion is seldom based on pure need.....
