I am a little interested in the durability of Shimano gear. What I noticed so far, is, that there is a big difference between mtb and road gear. It looks like that road gear can last up to three times longer.
My observations are (Ultegra):
chain 4000km
brakepads 4000 rear, and 8000 front (riding on flat and in hills)

as for other parts - I heard that hubs can last even 100 000km.

What are your observations? How long other Shimano parts can last (dura ace/ ultegra)?
