i still think you are getting hosed on the wheels, sounds like they have swapped the wheels off of that bike once before b/c stock on that bike is an ultegra wheelset. FWIW msrp on race lite wheels is about $400, so you are trading a $400 wheelset for a $600 msrp wheelset and paying $500 for it, I think you would be better off buying the elites off the internet and putting the race lites on ebay, you should come out ahead in the end.
Did you test ride any other bikes or just this one, have you ridden it with the aero bars? If you are super concerned about doing tris why dont you just start by getting some clip ons for your current bike and then decide if it is something you are still wanting to do then make your new bike decision based on that. You dont want to be compromising on a bike because you need some tri features that you arent even sure if you are going to want to continue to use. If you decide to go with the tri stuff and still want a new bike then you will already have the aero bars and wont have to be investing in those with the new bike purchase.
Also ultegra pedals (6620 not the old 6610) can be had for ~$65 on probikekit.com
