Its no exaggeration that when you have "rather torturous ... painful hot spots" on your feet that you will lose power. You think you can still put down the same amount of power with torturous hot spots as you can with comfortable feet? I sure couldn't. And your logic makes no sense. I have never seen it mentioned in this entire thread that comfortable pedals make you a stage winner at the tour de france. Not sure where you pulled that one out of but nice try.
But you're from LI. There are no hills on LI.

By the way, when i get into the 80-110 mile zone where these hot spots become an issue, I'm not racing. I'm trying to get home from a long training ride to watch the Mets bullpen blow another lead. Who's riding the Tour de France? I'm riding in the Tour de Fred.
