At the moment, I still plan on running the Pie ride as long as there's sufficient interest to justify the effort. I haven't decided whether I'd rather ride it or drive SAG this year, though. Riding it is such hard work, and I've fought the ride to a 2 win, 2 loss tie.

1st ride: completed 100 miles, but didn't ride to the finish (a tough loss)
2nd ride: completed entire ride solo, despite falling over 1.5 miles from finish (a close win)
3rd ride: last year's Thanksgiving ride, great time (easy win)
4th ride: threw in the towel at about 8000 feet of climbing and about 65 miles (not even close)

My Pie Lite record is a bit better.

1st ride: 80 miles, 9000 feet of climbing
2nd ride: 85 miles, 11000 feet of climbing

I'm not really sure why it's called Pie Lite since in many respects, it's as hard as the Thanksgiving edition of the Pie ride (98 miles, 9500 feet of climbing), if not harder (when returning via Mesa Grande and East Grade).
