You could use thumbscrews (the fasteners, not the torture device) to make the light fairly easy and quick to remove. I'm thinking of mounting a rack (the gear carrier, not the torture device) to my bike with them.

You can get these press-on thumbscrew heads to turn an ordinary socket-head cap scew into a thumbscrew. I don't know if they are common at hardware stores.

I recommend stainless hardware for all bike commuting uses.
