So it's unlikely you'll get anything close to the value of a folder bike, should they loose your bike. A policy would be nice. But, I could never find a decent plan. Those policies they sell at the airport, usually limited to 500 dollars and mostly cover items such as flight cancelations. Should You find one please let us know. Start with a permanent rider on your homeowners, I suggest. And, once my bike was on a flight from Paris to Los Angeles. The bike went on to Tahiti, but I got off in LA. But, luckily they did get my bike back after a week's vacation for it in Tahiti. It was my Klein. I was on pins and needles.
It's a sickening feeling to wait and wait and not see your bike at baggage claim.
