Yep, 62 (or maybe 61?) I believe is correct. Definitely a one year model either way. They made one similar later on in the 70's but the two straight bars weren't a continuance of the seat stays. They were separate tubes tacked onto the frame, and the seat stays stopped at the seat tube. I also believe that frame was only used for Typhoon models. The chain guard is one I have never seen on a Schwinn?

The "silver" one is probably one of the metallics faded out. It's really weird, but I have a ladies 55 Corvette that used to be metallic red, and looks very much like yours. The chain guard is 50's though, no doubt about it. Somewhere in the 59-60 model year, they started changing saddles, chain guards, etc. The seat isn't original.,,,,BD
