In my experience, "trace" usually means a ton of water coming down from the sky. Really... if I read "thundershowers", I'm not too worried, but whenever it says "trace", I expect to get seriously soaked.
Had a really pleasant ride today.
Cool out, but not too cool. Built a tiny bit of MTB-ing into my commute today: some grass, cobble-stones, and gravel - and one curb hop.
