Does the failure to follow normal proceedures make the theft of the bike somehow more excusable? No. Does the failure to follow proceedures somehow make the shop less of a victim? NO! All in all, this is just a sad learning experience for the shop. Let's hope the bike turns up.
Is anyone blaming the victim? no, they're not. Do we all think the victim is a bit of a dill for not getting ID before handing over a big $$$ bike for a test ride? yes, we do. Is this asking and answering my own questions really annoying? yes, it is. Do I have any more questions for myself? no, I don't. So will I finally shuddup now? yes, I will.
