Regardless...i dont think its as big of a deal as or worth comparing to someone vadalizing my HOME. Thats just a ****ing stupid analogy all together.
At least they didnt spray stupid tags all over the banks.
My home city spent $500,000 on a rad concrete skate park and the first week it was open some crack monkeys sprayed some of the worst looking graf ive ever seen in my life all over it.

I don't know if they're SUPPOSED to get graffed up, but skateboarding and graff are from the same 4 elements, no denying that. I would be totally pissed if a half million dollar skate park (that i wish was here) was bombed by some sloppy taggers (the first halfpipe I ever built was hit up with a pretty sweet piece actually, but I was still pissed it was on my ramp and got it off). Now if the city brought in TWS/TMF and a graff crew from France and did the entire thing at one time as an opening ceremony, that would be the absolute best.
When I started skating 18 years ago (and up until I was maybe 15), I wasn't really paying attention to the damage I was causing from grinding/sliding/waxing ledges of new and existing businesses/properties. Once I did realize that, I built all my own stuff and pretty much have only skated that for the last decade. As for the bikers, I highly doubt they didn't realize exactly what they were doing...although maybe they're young and dumb enough. I know I used to climb fences to skate spots to get my early footage and not think twice about it.
Overall, I'm not too sure the skateboarding and velodrome scenarios are exactly the same, although close.
