Well today i got my raleigh Talus ('04 model). Beautiful bike, absolutely beautiful....and clipless.

So, I get out my cycling shoe, and proceed to chop out the bottom rubber that covers my cleat mount, and get it all together...well about 2 blocks in after having hte initial "Holy ***, This is like being fitted with God's feet!" moment..I had the "Holy ****, I can;'t get my ****** feet out of these things!" moment....nearly fell, but magically my right foot came out just in time....hobble to a bike rack..fight my left foot off....20 mins later it's off, i get the things adjsuted some, and get riding...well next block i get off and loosen the release some more. Now all is well.

...or so I think...

About an hour later I stop at a corner...some old man on a BMX was sitting there....well once it was our turn to go...I clip in and tell him im turning left...he keeps up side by side and wont let me by..i speed up...he speeds up...so i slow down and try to unclip...again im stuck....i wave him to go farward...he asks me something in some language i cnat understand...well to avoid hiting him i turn the handlesover 120 degrees and suicide fall (since I still cant unclip)......some smartaleck in a car shouts "Uh-Oh, better get Maaco!"..../sigh....some people's children

Turns out the old guy doesnt speak any english, and i guess thought I was trying to strike conversation or something...no clue...either way, my knee still hurts from the fall....a little sorenes,, a little blood, but all will be good in the morning


...oh and it turns out i found teh cause for n ot being able to unclip....I was being a moron and forgot to tighten one of hte lug bolts well enough, and forgot locktite...it came loose, making it harder to release right.
